Stop using GridRepublic and quit all projects

If you want to stop all participation in your projects and remove all associated software from your computer, do this:

  • Exit GridRepublic or BOINC desktop apps (if running)
  • Go to start > control panels > add/remove, and then "uninstall" GridRepublic or BOINC
  • Delete the folder "BOINC", which is inside the Program Files" folder on your computer.

This can be done by a link at the bottom of every list message, or by going (on gridrepublic.org) to home > my account > newsletter, selecting "don't send me mail", and clicking "apply".

  • In the "advanced" menu, select "Stop using GridRepublic"

...This will retain all your project accounts, points, prefs, etc; it will only disconnect your desktop app from gridrepublic, requiring you to make any further changes locally.
