I just double checked "Uninstall a Program" in the Control Panel under Programs, and no I don't see BOINC either. I don't know how I messed this up so much. Been using Windows ever since MS-DOS became obsolete, but gimme a chance and I'm sure I can do damage.
I'll go ahead and delete the folders you suggested and then try the reinstall suggestions you guys gave me earlier.
I almost forgot to ask one question... How do I delete the current version of GridRepublic off my computer, especially when it doesn't show up in the Control Panel list of programs to remove/modify? I don't have a menu item in my programs list either. Should I just delete the folder the Programs (x86) file?
I hate to bother you again, but need some support.
I have a question, I installed GR yesterday, and the program files are in the Program Files (x86) folder in Win 7 (RC1, 64-bit), but the program does not show up in the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.I also had to create a shortcut on my desktop to"GridRepublic.exe" in the Program Files (x86) folder to get the desktop app to work.
From all appearances on the website, my projects show up, and so does my computer, but when I go to the desktop app and try to click on a webpage button for some of the projects I get a blank browser screen. I'd really like to be involved in this and let me computer help humanity while I'm not using it. Your help would be appreciated.
I thank you in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
Dennis
