I guess I'll switch back to the standard Seti@Home client that works correctly. I can't have this app intercepting mouse clicks and now "control-c" that happens nowhere near it, interrupting what I'm doing on my computer....
The GridRepublic app for some reason intercepts my right mouse clicks in other apps sporadically. It is as if I right-clicked on the tray icon except it won't clear when I left click somewhere else - it INSISTS on me clicking on the dialog and picking one of the several options that I do not want (open GR web, open GR desktop app, snooze, exit.)
This is very frustrating and I'm on the verge of switching back to the BOINC app to stop it. Any advice would be appreciated.
Win7 Pro 64bit, patched current, lots of other software but no other app is consistently associated with this issue aside from GR.
When I log in to my system (from logged out, not from lock screen) the GR Desktop app doesn't connect to the client. If I close the GR D app and restart it the connection works fine. (I don't know where the logs are.) If I try "Advanced -> Select computer" and pick localhost, it waits a long time and then gives the error dialog "GridRepublic Desktop - Connection Failed: GridRepublic Desktop is not able to connect to a GridRepublic client. Would you like to try again?"
I did previously verify all 3 parts are allowed through Windoze Firewall and, again, if I bounce the process it connects fine.
What might the issue be and how can I fix it?
