Dear computers volunteers,

Can you explain me why I get those red messages two times every 20 minutes ?

19/08/2009 17:31:53|malariacontrol.net|Message from server: No work sent

and

19/08/2009 17:31:53|malariacontrol.net|Message from server: (won't finish in time) BOINC runs 100.0% of time, computation enabled 99.8% of that

Do I need to configure something ? I really want to contribute to the project and I feel desperate about it...

Help me !

 Xavier

Hello Xavier

These messages are normal.  The messages indicate that your computer has enough work already and that the request to download new work from malariacontrol.net project \will not be completed by their deadlines if downloaded at the time of the request.

BOINC/PTP/GridRepublic whichever program you use will automatically balance the amount of work done according to your preferences.

Everything is fine you do not need to do anything.

Xavier, how many projects do you have running?

If you are still getting the "won't finish in time" errors persistently over a number of days we might want to investigate a bit further.  might be that your system is not well suited to africa@home/malariacontrol and you would be better able to contribute to rosetta@home (whose work is also relevant to malaria).
