GR - SETI problem

GR - SETI problem

Hello there, I have 2 issues since the first day I use GR and I need help to solve them.

Issue 1. In GridRepublic website -> login -> Tab "Home" - "Status" - "My Projects"

I have 2 projects: Einstein and Seti. Everytime I click "Refresh" button and I get an error "ERROR:  We have encountered problems communicating with one or more project servers:" on Project SETI. I have tried to choose "retry and got the same error. So I have to skip. :-(

Issue 2. I go to "Edit Project" and I deactivate/uncheck the option "Project newsletter" then click "Apply" button. I got following error:

We have encountered an error communicating with your project
Your changes have not been applied. Projects do become unavailable                  from time to time. You can try again via the button below, and/or                  return to make your changes later.

Everytime I retried I got the same error.

 THANK YOU in advance.

Regards,
MY

GridRepublic acts as an intermediary to the project servers, but does not store the information at this time.  If the project servers are offline or unavailable for communication then your efforts to get any data or set any new preferences will not work until the projects are back online.  This may be what you experienced.

Are you getting a display from Einstein@home and Seti@home now?

Hello Spark, thank you for your reply. Project Einstein never has the problem. The problem/error message is happened only on project SETI since the first day I connect to GR till now. I doubt, that this problem is caused by project server down/unavailable, because I try it many times at different time (morning, afternoon, evening and night) and I get always the same error. Moreover the BOINC Manager can always connect the SETI project server successfully.

The display of both projects on BOINC Manager is always OK and I can see the actual status.

Sorry I was working from memory so Project Einstein just slipped into my post.  I was able to reproduce both of the errors you are expereincing with my own account.  Though are you just participating in Seti@home or do you participate in others?  I also recieve this cannot communicate for: primegrid, simap,  BURP, Recliniear Crossing, and Sha-1 Collision Search.

I'll pass this on to someone who can try to resolve this.  The website is about to beta test of an update/overhaul and I'm not sure if that may be causing a few problems with the backend of the website.

Sometimes project servers go down, move to a different URL, or just have an error in one of the mechanisms we use to look up account data. All of the projects mentioned here are falling into one of those categories. I was able to correct SIMAP by updating GR to use their new URL, but the rest will likely have to be solved by the project maintainers.

SETI is giving an empty response to one of our queries, so we'll contact them to see if they can correct that and hopefully it will be updating properly in the next day or so.

Ok, SETI and PrimeGrid were both solvable on our end, SIMAP and BURP moved and will need updated URL signatures before being corrected (which may take a little time), and Rectilinear Crossing and SHA-1 Collision are both now suspended.

Rectilinear Crossing is close to completion, so there is no longer any work to be done. I don't know what happened to SHA-1 Collision other than it is officially inactive...perhaps complete as well.
