Permanent Sign-In Option

I'd like my GridRepublic desktop app to recognize that it's being used on my PC so I don't have to sign in with my user name and password each and every time I turn my PC on. At the moment, it feels as if it ought to be unnecessary to do that. Whatchya think, please? Is anyone able to tell me why it has to be that way?

I'm also having a similar problem - I presume it's supposed to stay connected but every time I start it or asked it to sync it asks for my details. It then doesn't sync so I'm suspecting there may be another issue somewhere.
