I've beent trying to connect directly with SETI@home for over a month, with no success (HTTP 502 errors) - Einstein at home works OK.

Trying GR to see if I get different results from their servers, but it's not working.

Sat 25 Feb 2012 09:04:50 AM EST        [error] Bad signature for URL http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/

I'm running BOINC Mgr 6.10.17 on Ubuntu Linux10.04LTS

Suggestions welcome.

The signature error looks like an issue on GridRepublic's end... I'll pass this on.

Though to note about SETI@home it has down time for connections:

Standing Outage Notice: Every Tuesday morning (Pacific Time) we have a regular 3-4 hour outage for database backup (and other system maintenance). Most servers and web site functions will be off during these outages.

Thanks - my problem happened on a Saturday, so it shouldn't conflict with any tuesday outages.

I was hoping gridrepublic would provide a proxy system I could go through, my SETI science app and workunits downloads constantly abort, either due to truncated HTTP transfers, or 502 errors.  Every other BOINC project is OK, and I'm tempted to build a custom libcurl to put extra debugging code in, just to get more details about the aborted SETI connections. But if I could fix it with a proxy server, I do that in an instant

No workunits have been dowloaded since Jan 2012.  I was ablt to use the Coral CDN network to download a new SETI@home binary, and associated image files, but I can't do that for workunits themselves.

GridRepublic doesn't redistribute the work it only relayed the connections so you can manage in one location.  So if the problem is between your client and their servers GridRepublic is not going to solve anything.

What Operating System are you running? What BOINC version are you using?
